If you recently purchased a Dell Latitude D600 through the 2004 laptop purchase program, you received an important security device. ComputracePlus is an anti-theft tracking agent that allows a laptop recovery team to locate a misplaced or stolen machine. 1. Use a web link to install Computrace:

2. Using the Absolute Software CD to install Computrace:
If you still have the Absolute Software CD that was provided with your laptop, you can use the following instructions to install the Computrace Agent. If you do not have this CD, then use the web link above.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
- Click the START menu button at the bottom left of your screen.
- Find the RUN option and click.
- Click BROWSE and in the “look in” box, scroll to MY COMPUTER.
- Double click CTAgent_Dell-CFI (D:)
- Double click Setup
- Click OK
- You will see a black box appear then disappear quickly. Do not panic! Computrace has been installed on your laptop.
- Call Absolute Software Technical Support at (1-888-999-9857) to make sure Computrace has been installed successfully and to obtain your user ID and password.
