Menu Wireless Access

Information Services at Quinnipiac University offers wireless access to all networked academic resources supported by the university.

FYI

- For security, do not transmit personal information over a wireless connection (banking, shopping, etc.)
- Quinnipiac University supports only wireless cards purchased through the university’s Laptop Purchase Program. However, any wireless card conforming to the IEEE 802.11B specifications should work.
- If both the wired and wireless connections on a laptop are connected, Windows will default to the wired connection.
- Quinnipiac University does not permit the use of personal wireless access points.

See this explanation by Michael Landry about what you should know about differences between wireless and wired access to the network.
