Password
The username and password set that logs you into the Quinnipiac network and email also serves as your login access to Blackboard.

Basic Navigation
Once you are logged in, you'll see your blackboard portal, which displays the day’s current announcements, a personal calendar, a class and organization section that displays the classes and organizations in which you are currently enrolled, and also a tasks menu. The left side of the screen contains a Tools Menu that allows quick access to announcements, grades, an address book, and a user directory.

Adding Content / Layout
The "contents" button on your Blackboard portal page allows you to add items to the portal. Such items include bookmarks, a calculator, a dictionary, links to web-sites, links to the news, and a Google search bar. The "layout" button allows you to rearrange the order of the items displayed. Also, you may choose from various color schemes for your portal.

Discussions
Discussion forums are located in the Blackboard sites for courses in which a student is enrolled. These are accessible only if a teacher sets one up. Discussion forums allow teachers to assign questions designed to get students involved and thinking. Students are allowed to post a new detailed thread and add to the topic given.

Blackboard Organizations
The Organization section allows students to join and participate in many Quinnipiac student-run organizations. Get creative and have fun!
