Quizzes and tests

Using Blackboard

Blackboard has a variety of assessment and grading tools for traditional quizzes and tests.

Using Respondus

Respondus is a software application for developing and maintaining online quizzes and tests on your laptop computer. Tests generated in Respondus can then be imported into Blackboard and given to students within a designated Blackboard course.

Why would I use Respondus rather than just Blackboard? Respondus allows faculty to keep their assessments in a format that can be used in different versions of Blackboard or even different course management systems.

Using bubble sheets and scanners

Scanners are available for tests and quizzes that may be given using standard paper forms with small circles or "bubbles" that are marked in pencil.
