Tutorial on course design

QU Online developed this course design tutorial to help faculty at the University plan and teach an online course. Yet, the practical implications for course development and teaching provided in the tutorial are applicable to most courses regardless of the delivery mode. The tutorial offers examples, templates and/or checklists on topics such as, designing an effective syllabus or accommodating the differing needs of learners; each topic is accompanied by a recent scholarly article in support of the topic. In addition, faculty who are interested in learning more about online teaching are encouraged to enter the tutorial to view a model online course or become familiar with University processes for online course development and teaching.
