Welcome to Quinnipiac University!

This site is intended to provide you with information about teaching resources at Quinnipiac University. Your department and school administrators (and the Office of Academic Affairs) can help you with the many other issues related to your daily life as a faculty member, such as parking and your University identification card (Q-card).

If you have never taught before, you may find the following books to be useful resources:

McKeachie's Teaching Tips: Strategies, Research, and Theory for College and University Teachers, 12th Edition (!!!), Wilbert J. McKeachie, Houghton Mifflin, New York, 2005.

Using Technology in Teaching, by William Clyde and Andrew Delohery, Yale University Press, New Haven, CT, 2005 (developed by two of your colleagues based on their experience at Quinnipiac).

Get your ID card (aka QCard) at the Q-CARD Office.
Parking stickers are in the the Security and Safety Office, Irmagarde Tator Residence Hall.
E- mail addresses at QU are usually firstname.lastname@quinnipiac.edu. Check for yours by entering your last name at the Campus Directory.
Get Your Network User ID to go on-line. Check for it at this WebAdvisor page
With your Network User ID and other personal data, set your own Network password at this page.
All university network services are available through the MyQ portal https://myQ.quinnipiac.edu
University EMail at https://mail.quinnipiac.edu/ using almost any Internet browser except AOL.
Your filespace is a secure web and network-based place to hold and transfer files. It is available directly at https://myfilespace.quinnipiac.edu
The course management system, Blackboard, is at http://blackboard.quinnipiac.edu/
Almost all QU teaching tools have tutorials online at The teaching resources web site.
Class rosters and grades are online through Webadvisor, or https://wa.quinnipiac.edu.
