Quinnipiac University Writing Across the Curriculum Summer Workshop
Dates: August 12, 13 and 14
Time: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Once again this summer, the Quinnipiac University Writing Across the Curriculum Program will sponsor summer workshops for new faculty, or faculty who have not previously attended one of our three-day training sessions. Registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. We have a limited number of openings, and in past years, these workshops have filled up quickly. Faculty who attend receive a stipend of $125 per day for participating in the 3-day experience.
Here’s a bit of what you can expect if you join us…..Faculty work in interdisciplinary groups with a WAC faculty trainer. The goal of the workshop is to provide you with an opportunity to re-visit an existing syllabus and an assignment in that course as you experience and learn foundational WAC principles. WAC techniques have been used successfully in the QU 101 course series, as well as many disciplinary classes across our campus. It’s also a great way to meet and share ideas you’re your colleagues.
If you would like to register for the workshop, or have additional questions, email Sue Hudd, Acting Director of QUWAC at suzanne.hudd@quinnipiac.edu (or phone x8459). We look forward to working with you!
