Video Description of Workshop

Ever wonder exactly what your freshman students are prepared to do at the end of their first year of work? Just what kinds of critical thinking are they being prepared to do in class and in their papers for English 101/102 and QU 101? Come join us for a description of the freshman common curriculum (English and QU 101): what are they doing, what are they learning, and how might you better link your courses to this preparation?

Examples of assigned student work will be discussed, as well as the results of various assessment efforts that faculty have used to follow-up the work of the QU 101 course and the full year freshman English sequence. Come join us for a fascinating discussion of our students’ first year experience!
