Summer grant program for projects in support of teaching (2009)

Academic Technology provides summer grants to support full or part-time teaching faculty in using information technology to either

These grants may – if requested - include support by graduate assistants. As a condition of the grants, faculty agree to attend a nearby symposium on teaching and technology in June; and to share the products of their work with other faculty in a Technology Fair held during the academic year.

To apply for a grant, write a brief one page proposal that includes:

  • A brief description of what you propose to do and the “deliverables” (include whether the project is for learning resources or course renewal)
  • The course and the number of students the project will affect
  • The expected direct educational benefits of the project
  • Potential benefits to other courses at Quinnipiac

We encourage you to develop your proposal in collaboration with our instructional technologists.

Submit your proposal in electronic form to Maureen Schorr or Gary Pandolfi by March 20, 2009 so that proposals can be reviewed by Academic Technology and the applicants’ schools. The proposals will be judged on educational merit, feasibility, and contributions to the teaching community at Quinnipiac. Awards will be announced by April 1, 2008.
