   "Professor of Economics "

Matt Rafferty spoke on “Corporate R&D Policy”.  He examined the influence of corporate governance and executive compensation on corporate R&D.  There is some evidence that poor corporate governance reduces R&D activity and the market valuation of R&D assets.  There is also evidence that firms use equity compensation to mitigate the problems associated with poor corporate governance.
