The Blackboard Grade Center

The Grade Center (formerly the Gradebook) allows for a multiplicity of ways to manage assignments and grades. The weighting capabilities can make mid-term and final grade calculation automatic while accurately reflecting the weights described in your syllabus. In addition, the Grade Center Exempt feature allows professors to drop the lowest quiz without complicated recalculations. In additon, you can now freeze panes so you don't have to remember whose line you are on when viewing the grades. The tutorials below explain how to accomplish the various tasks. If you would like to discuss the virtues of the gradebook, please contact your instructional technologist for more information.
