Sign-Up Sheets in a Wiki Page

Ever create a sign-up sheet in Word and passed it around the class? How many emails did you get requesting changes? Using a Wiki page can make signing up and scheduling easy. Here are the steps.

  1. Create the sign up sheet in a Word document as you normall would.
  2. Instead of printing it, select all the text, hold down the ctrl. key and simultaneously press the C key to copy the text to the clipboard.
  3. Open a Blackboard Wiki. (Directions for creating a Wiki.)
  4. Click "New Page" in the Right-Hand menu.
  5. Click the "Paste from Word" icon, and click "save."
  6. Instruct students to click "Edit Page" to add their names in the appropriate space and click "save" when they are finished.
